Wanda Shepherd

Wanda began her real estate career in 1975 in California, but returned home to South Carolina shortly after and has been a resident of Charleston ever since. She is married to Michael, a native of Summerville, and is a mother to three sons, all of whom live in the Tri-County are. Her five grandchildren, 1 grandson and 4 granddaughters affectionately call her “DeanDean,” a play on her middle name. She attended Garrett High School and Ventura Jr. College. She has also completed courses in Residential Specialization and Short Sales, and many other real estate related classes which are necessary in an ever changing market.

Wanda is very actively involved in her church, serving as pianist, teacher, and women’s ministry leader. She is an avid South Carolina football fan, and on Saturdays in the fall, can be found tailgating near Williams Brice Stadium and cheering on the Gamecocks. Her other hobbies include reading, shopping, and spending time with family and friends.

She has been a member of the Deb Walters Team for close to 10 years, but she and Deb have been friends for over 50 years! In fact, Wanda played matchmaker and introduced Deb to her husband Al.

One of the many things Wanda loves about being a Realtor is the moment her client finds the perfect home! Her experience and intuition help her to quickly identify their needs and wants. Wanda enjoys and excels in the negotiation process, helping her clients achieve the best possible price and value. She is proactive during the process, to ensure a smooth transaction and a successful closing!

As a listing agent, part of her exceptional service includes helping her clients prepare their home to be show ready, including, but not limited to, staging and advice on what improvements actually add a monetary value and what can be done to make a home more appealing. She is well versed in marketing and uses social media, professional photography, internet advertising, and much more to attract qualified buyers. She is well respected as a real estate professional among her peers.
