Summerville SC 29483
Al Walters is a true Lowcountry native. He was born in downtown Charleston in 1952 and grew up in North Charleston. He graduated from Garret High School in 1972 and Trident Technical College in 1974.
1974 was a great year for Al, because he married his high school sweetheart Deb. Soon after marring Deb, they moved to Summerville and started a family. They have remained in Summerville ever since. Al started work at Charleston Naval Shipyard a month after getting married and remained at the shipyard until 1988, when he started his own landscaping business. He operated this successful business for 23 years, until about the age of 59, when he decided that he was just getting too old for that kind of work. He then turned over the business to their son, Jason, and Al joined Deb in the real estate industry.
Al Walters loves the outdoors. He loves hunting and fishing and enjoying the beautiful waterways of the Lowcountry. Al also loves cooking for family and friends. Weekends at the Walters home are usually busy, with lots of activity around the fire pit and outdoor gazeebo.
Al absolutely loves working with people who are new to the area. He is somewhat of a Summerville historian and enjoys sharing the rich history of his beautiful town, including restaurants known to locals.
When you choose Al, you are guaranteed to get a friend for life!
