Deb became a licensed Realtor and joined Carolina One Real Estate in 2005. She quickly excelled in Real Estate selling 25+ units in her first year, placing her in the Honor Society.
Her success is due to her deep passion for helping people, like first time home buyers and senior citizens who are downsizing or transitioning to assisted living, as well as guiding heirs in the sometimes painful process of estate sales.
Her trademark is her creative ability to transform a vacant home into a show home with tasteful staging, bringing the "wow" factor to an otherwise unremarkable property. She works tirelessly to provide boutique service to her clients and is always available to them.
Deb Walters has called Charleston her home since she was 6, after her family settled here with the military. She married her childhood sweetheart Al Walters in 1974 and still resides in Summerville where she raised her 3 children. She now has 3 grandchildren who are a source of much pride and joy. In 2011, Al retired from the business he founded, obtained his real estate license, and now works alongside Deb, assisting with all aspects of the business.
After owning and managing a successful landscaping business for 23 years I was ready for a change. While hanging out with Deb on the weekends as she showed homes, I found that I sincerely enjoyed this business. People would ask me questions about the community and our town of Summerville and I realized that I thoroughly enjoyed talking about both. I went to school and obtained my realtors license in order to help Deb even more.
I have been in the business now for four years and I am having a blast. I love helping Deb with the internet marketing and taking pictures of new listings, but most of all I love working with buyers. I sometimes feel more like a tour guide than a realtor, but in all honestly that’s what I enjoy. I love telling people all about our great town and sharing its history. Along with the free tour you’ll get firsthand knowledge of the homes and the communities that will help equip you in making a wise decision in your home purchase.
